Igniting ASEAN's Aqua Future

AquASEAN is an ambitious multi-country initiative delivering the critical data and circular frameworks required to fully integrate sustainable aquaculture into the global fight against climate change. Following in the footsteps of successful regional partnerships, this programme provides incontrovertible evidence that a transition to a circular economy is essential for the future of Southeast Asia's food security.

Led by CIRAD in strategic alliance with ASEAN and leading regional universities, the project addresses the alarming degradation of aquatic ecosystems by transforming waste into high-value resources. By strengthening policy efforts and building capacity across ASEAN Member States, AquASEAN is pioneering a new standard for aquaculture systems ensuring they are not only efficient and resilient but fundamentally inclusive in the face of a changing climate.
